The National Chairman of the Union of Industry, Commerce and Finance Workers (UNICOF), Brother Alex Nyarko-Opoku, was on Thursday 11th August, 2016 sworn in as the 1st Vice Chairman of Ghana TUC.
This transpired after he was nominated and stood unopposed at the 10th Quadrennial Delegates Congress of TUC, held at KNUST, Kumasi, from 7th to 11th August, 2016. Brother Nyarko-Opoku took over from Brother David Songotu who was Acting 1st Vice Chairman.
The other executives elected were: Brother (Dr.) Anthony Yaw Baah โ Secretary General; Brother Joshua Ansah โ Deputy Secretary General; Rev. Richard Kwasi Yeboah โ Chairperson; Sister Philomena Aba Sampson โ 2nd Vice Chairperson. The Congress also appointed Brother Aaron Kegyedah as a member of the Finance Board of TUC.
