The Education and Research Department of the Union organized a day's educational programme for some Tema Local Union Executives. The well-attended programme saw union members from ten institutions: Maersk Line, Flour Mills, Dangote Cement, Pioneer Food Cannery, Silver Star Auto Limited, Tema Oil Refinery, Sentuo Steel Limited, Mivisa West Africa, Nestle Ghana, and United Fabrication.

Brother Kofi Davoh facilitated the training on topics including: Rights and Duties of the Employer and Employee; Relationships at the Workplace; Legal Basis for a Management/Union Relationship; Separating People from Problems; Focusing on Interests, Not Positions; and Managing the Relationship.

Participants expressed appreciation to the leadership and insisted that more programmes be organised to bring the Secretariat closer to the members. The Head of Industrial Relations assured members that many more programmes would be organised before the end of the year.
