UNICOF successfully held its maiden meeting of its 2nd Vice Chairpersons on Friday, 17 July 2026, at the ARB Apex Bank Conference Hall. The programme provided an important platform for women leaders from affiliated institutions to discuss workplace equality, gender-responsive Collective Agreement provisions, and strategies for strengthening women's participation in leadership.

Addresses and Presentations
The meeting featured an address by the Acting Managing Director of the ARB Apex Bank PLC, Mr. Curtis William Brantuo (Esq.), and presentations by the General Secretary, Brother Euclid Kofi Ohene-Obeng, on gender issues in employment and collective bargaining, and by Mrs. Alberta Frimpong-Manso, who shared insights on personal development, leadership, and professional success.
Key Workplace Concerns Discussed
Participants also discussed key workplace concerns affecting women, including maternity protection, medical support during childbirth, and protections for nursing mothers.
Way Forward
The programme concluded with recommendations to strengthen advocacy on women's issues, increase women's representation in leadership positions, and engage Human Resource representatives in future discussions. The meeting reaffirmed UNICOF's commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and empowerment in the workplace.
