ADB Local Union Holds Successful NEC Meeting at Miklin Hotel

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) Local Union of UNICOF successfully held its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on the 5th and 6th of September 2025 at the Miklin Hotel, East Legon.

Day one opened with detailed discussions on reports and finances. The Chief Financial Officer of ADB delivered an insightful presentation on the bank’s financial position and its ranking within the banking sector. Her presentation gave members a clear understanding of ADB’s financial standing and was well received. This was followed by deliberations on the activity report, financial updates, and minutes from the previous meeting. The first day ended on a successful note, with the business of the NEC adjourned.

On Saturday, 6th September, the programme resumed at 10:00 a.m. with an opening prayer, followed by the introduction of the Chairman and other dignitaries. Members were privileged to hear speeches and solidarity messages from the Local Union Chairman, the PMSU Chairman, the General Secretary of UNICOF, and the Managing Director of ADB.

The Managing Director, in his address, highlighted the challenges the bank faced prior to his assumption of office and commended the union for its resilience during those difficult times.

An open forum allowed members to directly engage the MD with their concerns and questions, which he addressed comprehensively.

The NEC meeting concluded with closing remarks from the Chairman, a vote of thanks, and a prayer. The event reinforced the strong relationship between ADB’s leadership and its union members, setting a positive tone for the way forward.

Long live ADB LU!
Long live UNICOF!
