National Women’s Council Holds Central Committee Meeting in Koforidua

The Central Committee of the National Women’s Council held its 2nd statutory meeting from 28th to 29th November 2025 at the JBD Plaza Hotel, Koforidua. In attendance were the National Executives of the Union, including the National Chairman, the General Secretary, and the Deputy General Secretary.

The meeting reviewed and discussed the activity report for the period under consideration. Notable highlights included the successful execution of educational programmes across the regions on topics such as the Power of the Mind, Women and Work–Life Balance, Mental Health Education, Women and Vaginal Health, among others. The report also captured a donation made to the Shekinah Medical Centre, a rehabilitation facility in the Northern Region. The activity report was subsequently adopted by the meeting.

A key highlight of the meeting was an entrepreneurship training session during which participants were taught how to make liquid soap. This initiative is expected to equip women with practical skills that can support both their professional and domestic lives.

The meeting ended with a prayer and closing remarks from the General Secretary, Brother Euclid Kofi Ohene-Obeng, who offered words of encouragement to all participants.
