UNICOF Celebrates Strong Representation at TUC Ghana’s 12th Quadrennial Delegates Congress

The 12th Quadrennial Delegates Congress (QDC) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) of Ghana took place from Sunday, 18th August to Thursday, 22nd August 2024, culminating in the election of a new executive leadership to guide the organization over the next four years.

As a proud affiliate of the TUC, UNICOF’s continued involvement in shaping national labor discussions has garnered widespread recognition. This active participation marks another historic milestone for our union, reinforcing our commitment to advancing labor rights and youth empowerment.

A key highlight of this congress was the remarkable legacy left by our former National Chairman, who also served as the National Chairman of the TUC. His tenure has set a high standard of leadership and service, one that UNICOF remains committed to upholding and building upon in the years to come.

In addition, UNICOF is proud to announce that Sister Belinda Aluah Cudjoe, a dedicated member of our Secretariat, has been elected as the 2nd Vice Chairperson of the National Youth Council of TUC – Ghana. Belinda, who serves as an Industrial Relations Officer at the Secretariat, has steadily advanced through the ranks, benefitting from the guidance and training of our experienced leaders.

As the 2nd Vice Chairperson of the National Youth Council, Belinda is focused on fostering youth engagement on the national labor front. Her mission includes establishing a consultative framework to encourage open dialogue with the youth, ensuring effective monitoring, promotion, and review of youth programs, and advocating for continued development opportunities for the younger workforce.

UNICOF’s leadership is proud of these achievements and remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower the next generation of workers and leaders. With unwavering dedication, we continue to contribute to the growth and development of the labor movement in Ghana.

All hail UNICOF!
All hail TUC Ghana!
