UNICOF elects new leadership for the next quadrennial

 

 

The Union of Industry, Commerce and Finance Workers (UNICOF) of the Trades Union Congress of Ghana, held its Fifth Quadrennial Delegates Conference (5th QDC) from 11th July, 2024 to 13th July, 2024 at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh.

The Conference was attended by nine hundred (900) participants, made up of 812 delegates, 30 invited guests and 30 secretariat staff, 28 observers from our various locals. The delegates were nominated by their respective institutions based on a formula specified by the National Executive Council (NEC) of UNICOF. In all, 64 institutions were represented at the 5th QDC.
As part of the conference agenda, National Officers were elected, as well as Youth and Women’s Officers for the next quadrennial.

Below are the names and positions being elected;

NATIONAL EXECUTIVES

Executive Committee (EXCOM):

  • Bro. Maxwell Mawuli Nyadedzor – National Chairman
  • Bro. Robert Osei Mensah Boahene – 1st National Vice-Chairman
  • Sis. Faustina Adane – 2nd National Vice-Chairperson
  • Bro. Euclid Kofi Ohene – Obeng – General Secretary
  • Bro. Godfred Agbevanu – Deputy General Secretary
  • Bro. Roderick Ayeh – National 1st Trustee
  • Bro. Fredrick Abbey – National 2nd Trustee

WOMEN

National Women’s Committee (NWC):

  • Vice Chairperson – Sister Rebecca Appau
  • Assistant Secretary – Sister Marcella Aziezum Azinim
