2022 MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS

 

 

This year’s May Day Celebration falls on Sunday, 1st May, 2022 and wish to inform all members that, the day’s activities will commence at 7:00am prompt in all the regional capitals.

The Theme for this year’s celebration is: Protecting Jobs and Income in the era of COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond’

The venue for the National Parade is the Black Star Square, Accra.  

Members in Accra are expected to converge at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, (Obra Spot) by 7:00am to start a procession to be led by leaders of Organized Labour through some principal streets of Accra to the Black Star Square to be addressed by the Secretary General of TUC (Ghana) and the President of the Republic of Ghana.

Members from Accra and Tema Regions would be hosted at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park, Accra after the parade.

The National Secretariat will provide canopies, chairs, tables and music, whilst locals take care of refreshment (food/drinks) for their members.
